Meet Your Instructor
Hi there, and welcome! I'm Steve Schmidt, but most folks just call me "Schmidty." I grew up in Malta, up on the Hi-line, and now call Missoula home. While I’m here as your instructor, I’m primarily here as one of your Montana neighbors. After years of teaching live Responsible Alcohol Sales and Service workshops here in Montana, I’m thrilled to finally bring this training online so we can support even more professionals across the Big Sky. One thing I’ve learned is just how vital hospitality professionals are to the heartbeat and safety of a community. That experience is what drives my passion for this work today. Here in Montana, we all share the same roads, and this course is about us looking out for one another. I’m often out and about around the state.
