The Local Choice!
Raising the standard of responsible alcohol sales and service in Montana through accessible, engaging, and state-specific education that keeps businesses compliant and communities safe.

Our philosophy

We believe in people

In Montana, hospitality isn't just a business model—it’s about taking care of our neighbors. Our philosophy is simple: people are the heart of every tavern, grocery store, and delivery route in this state. We believe in a 'Duty to Care' that goes deeper than just following state laws; it’s about looking out for the folks who walk through our doors or order from our apps. By giving Montana servers and sellers the confidence to do their jobs right, we aren't just checking boxes for compliance—we are building a partnership between businesses, law enforcement, and our local communities to keep our roads and families safe.

The Montana RASS Guy

Meet Steve "Schmidty" Schmidt

Who I Am I’m a Montana guy, originally from Malta and now living in Missoula.

Why This Matters:
I have spent over 25 years working in public safety (15 years in law enforcement).   I also currently work for Missoula Public Health and run Drive Safe Missoula.  That means I try to keep people driving sober and wearing seat belts.

A Personal Stake: I built this course because I care deeply about our Montana communities. This course is about more than compliance; it’s about protection. My family drives these Montana roads. We are your customers. When you do your job well, you are helping ensure my family—and yours—get home safely to the people who love them.

Fun Fact:
I take safety seriously, but I don’t take myself too seriously! While serving as a Police Officer in Kansas City, I had a secret life as a professional mascot. I was the mascot for the Major League Soccer (MLS) team, The KC Wizards (now Sporting KC), Kansas City's largest country radio station, and KC's biggest music venue.
“We share more than just the asphalt here in Montana; we share a responsibility to one another. I strive to be a steward of that safety, so we all get to where we’re going.”
-- SCHMIDTY
